Poker is a card game in which players place bets according to the rank of their hand. They may raise their bet when others do not call it, or they may fold and drop out of the hand. The game is played with a standard pack of 52 cards (some variant games use multiple packs, or add jokers). Once the turn action is over, the dealer reveals the final community card, called the river. This is the last chance to put money into the pot before the showdown. The remaining players then show their cards and the winner is announced.<\/p>\n

The longer you play, the more you will learn to read your opponents. You will be able to figure out which players are conservative and which ones are risk-takers.
