Gambling

Problem gambling is the behavior of a person who constantly seeks a higher level of excitement and pleasure through gambling. In order to achieve the same high, a person with gambling addiction needs to play more, chasing losses in an effort to increase the high they get from gambling. This vicious cycle leads to a decreased ability to resist urges to gamble, which in turn leads to even more cravings. In addition, gambling addiction has many negative effects on a person’s physical, psychological, social, and professional lives.
